My Opinion
AmazonBasics makes standard products that are value for money. There is no possibility for a letdown, but also, exceptional quality should not be expected. I personally use Amazonbasics mouse, keyboard, backpack, cables, stands and now this chair. It is easy to assemble, gas lift works well.
Metal parts are reasonably thick, heavy and sturdy for the price. Seat is fairly comfortable, but.... a lot is to be done about the backrest. Since it is fixed, it may not match people from all ages and heights and I had to insert some foam and a bag filled with wool to make myself comfortable. See photos.
Easy to assemble yourself. No skills or tools required (one hex key is supplied to turn the screws.)

So quite useful for sitting at a low height, and for small kids. Highest setting is with top of the seat at 21 inches above the ground. That is a little lower than the highest setting for most swivel chairs of this kind.
I'm 5'4" and the back support is nearly at the right height for me. By adding an extra cushion on the seat, it's in the perfect position.

Nice comfortable chair .good look and feel.smooth operation of heights mechanism and good castor that allow smooth movement over the floor.
You can assemble it yourself in 10 minutes. Push wheels in the base .put the center cylinder in base , screw in the lever mechanism into the seat base and then screw in the back rest into the seat base.place this into the wheel base assembly and the chair is ready to use.

Great Chair for big & tall IT persons Probably one of the best chairs I have ever owned. I am an IT professional and spend many hours in my chair and most chairs get uncomfortable after a few hours, but so far I love this chair and dont feel fatigued after a few hours. BTW.. I'm 6'4 240lbs. The seat fits my leg length perfectly and the back is just tall enough I can recline back and rest my head and continue working on the computer. Arms are nice and padded so my elbows dont hurt.
